DAC Universal shows fully virucidal efficacy
The fully virucidal efficacy of the DAC Universal when reprocessing transmission instruments has been proven in a recent study carried out by the accredited test laboratory “HygCen Germany”. The test was carried out with temperature-resistant parvoviruses in accordance with the specifications of European standard DIN EN 17111. Following the conclusion of the reprocessing procedure, which included cleaning, oil care, thermal disinfection and cooling, no murine parvoviruses were found in the eluate of the test instruments. This confirmation of fully virucidal efficacy provides official evidence that the DAC Universal offers the highest degree of efficiency, ensuring maximum reliability when reprocessing items such as dental handpieces and turbines. The classification “fully virucidal efficacy” includes effectiveness against all enveloped (e.g. SARS-CoV-2, hepatitis B and hepatitis C virus, HI virus, flu viruses) and non-enveloped viruses (e.g. parvovirus, human papillomavirus, adenovirus, norovirus).
