Guided by the vision of bringing hygiene in the healthcare and medical device sectors to a safe and standardised level worldwide, Klaus Roth and other partners founded the testing laboratory in 2000 to improve instrument processing in medical facilities. Today, SMP is a leading provider for cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation validation with customers in over 25 countries. The range of services currently comprises five departments with experienced teams: microbiology with a focus on disinfection and sterilisation validation, cleaning with a focus on radionuclide cleaning validation and end-of-life testing, production and evaluation of validation equipment, R&D and process validations in CSSDs. SMP has been part of the Miele Group for three years.
